My Angel Fido,
Thank you for teaching all of us who loved you so much
about gentleness and patience and nobility.
With your 170-plus pounds of incredible power you were
the kindest wisest and sometimes silliest Superior Being in
your dog-suit disguise it has ever been my privilege to know.
I feel your loving presence with me constantly and
I know that someday I'll be able to put my arms
around your neck and feel your big soft velvet
face against mine again.
I'll love you always.
