My memories to you my faithful friend who at times
seemed my only friend. You played with me cheered me up
made me laugh. Your loyalty taught me what love really is
your patience taught me patience.
You were my first friend and your passing left a hole in
my heart shaped like a small black dog.
I still pray for you every night and sometimes I feel the
only reason I try hard in this life to do what's right is
so someday when it's my turn to go just as
you waited by the door for me to come home
from school I will see you waiting for me at
Heaven's gate waiting to play.
