Ferret
Hero has such an impressive meaning and
such a large meaning for such a little animal.
You were a hero and died a hero.
Each night when you woke me you kept us safe.
You gave your life doing this.
If I told people of your selfless act
they would not believe such a little one could do so much.
It will be year soon and we still look
for you to crawl up and kiss us.
Forever feeling your ferret kisses and thankful
for all you gave.
The whole community misses you.
