Kitty
A kitten as small as my palm orphaned downtown
grew into a sleek intelligent and demonstrative calico.
She was there when I needed her there when I wanted her,
a vocal addition to my household.
Nine years of loving companionship ended too suddenly
and far too soon and I miss her more than I can begin to articulate.
I pray one day I can remember the joys of those nine years beyond
the indescribable grief of her loss.
Thank you Cosette for surrounding my days with an
aura of love.
