"Mr. G" October 1990 ------ May 6 2000

Mr.G came into our lives as quickly as he left.
I took him in because one of my co-workers was taking him to a shelter.
He came from Oregon and they moved here and could not keep him.
I fell in love with him the minute I saw him.
He was already 2 years old when he came home with me.
I was afraid he might not get along with my daughter
but he became her protector.
When she would head for the road he would run in front of her and
trip her to slow her down.
Mr.G was very special.
He always created quit a stir when I took him to the vet.
He was a very large cat but beautiful.
He kept me company while my husband was
on the road all those many years.
He had a comic side too.
He would wait for somebody to go into the house
from our fire pit and tackle them and run off again.
Tragically he was killed by a car in our neighborhood
on May 6th never to be by my side again
when I need him for comfort.
Mr.G I will miss you always
but know one day I will be with you again and
we will cross that bridge together.
