My sweet precious little dog Cimmy. I remember when we first got you at 6 weeks of age – you were just a little cinnamon-colored ball of fluff. How you loved to play and run!
The first night we had you my husband put you on the bed and with a loud sigh you settled right beside me your body pressed against me; and that’s where you slept for the next 12 years. We both felt loved and comforted from then on.
I keep looking for you in your chair holding onto your stuffed bear that you totally demolished. You wouldn’t let me replace that old tattered bear and I can still see you holding it with your small paws and looking at me with your bright kind eyes.
Whenever I cried you used to lick away the tears and you learned that if you gave me several fast licks it made me laugh! Even on your last day as I cried because I was losing you – you comforted me and licked away my tears.
The pain is so deep and I need to hold you again – to look into your brown eyes so full of love. I will always miss you and hope that I again will be with you.
I pray that you can hear me each night as I still say as I did for the last 12 years
” Good Night Cimmy – I Love You”.
