Charlie
You wandered into camp back in 1986…little did I know how much love and affection I would be getting when I convinced Mom & Dad to let me have you. These last 4 weeks as your kidneys slowly failed you have been so painful for me and I’m so sorry we had to go through them.
Thank you for your love and patience. Thank you for sleeping by my pillow. Thank you for all the times you looked me in the eyes and emphatically meowed. Thank you for purring one last time before I handed you over to the vet this morning. I earnestly pray that you are in heaven with Skinny and Noodle just waiting for me to come scoop you up and be with you forever.
“I’ll have a blue Christmas without you/I’ll be so blue thinking about you/Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree/Won’t mean a think ’cause you’re not here with me/I’ll have a blue Christmas that’s certain/And when my blue heartache stops hurtin’/You’ll be doing alright with your Christmas of white/But I’ll have a blue blue Christmas”
