Murphy by Martha

Today we lost our beloved Murphy. He had a true zest for life and enjoyed every person that entered our home. My husband and I called him our Goodwill Ambassador. He LOVED being right in the middle of everyone.

I am 55 yeasr old have been owned by several cats over the years but none like Murphy. We were soulmates. He slept on my pillow every night and often kept me awake giving me kisses and tickling my face with his whiskers.

He wasn’t that old – probably 8. We can’t be sure because we adopted him 7 years ago and they “guessed” his age to be about 1 year at the time. In July 2000 I noticed he had lost weight. At that time he was diagnosed with Kidney failure. He outlived the doctors prediction by more than a year.

At this moment I wouldn’t care if I died just so I could be with him. I always told him that we would be together forever. Now he is gone. My heart is broken.

My deepest love forever –
for Murphy.
