My BEST Friend
When everyone else was gone
you were always there.
If I needed to talk
you always listened.
Whatever project I was doing
you always helped
by just being there.
When I was sick
you were always by my side.
If I had to go some where
you were always willing to go
If you couldnÆt go you would always greet me at the door with a happy face wagging tail and kisses to let me know you were glad to see me. When I have had a bad day or was just feeling down you always knew and with your big brown eyes your always wagging tail and kisses you could always change my mood.
When the day was done you were always with me when it was time for bed No matter what happened even if I had to scold you it didnÆt matter your LOVE was unconditional. There is no measure to the Joy you added to my life.
And now that your time with me grows to an end I lay with you in your time of need I try to console you like you have done for me your whole life. I tell you things will be alright trying to be strong for you but I get emotional and you turn to me and look at me with those tired brown eyes wag your tail and kiss away my tears.
Once again you are there for me. You have been such a important part of my life. You will always have a HUGE place in my heart even when you are gone. I will be looking forward to the time when once again you can meet me at the door with your happy face big brown eyes
