Waiting For Spring -Wen by Sabrina Wilson / Momma

Wen-Wen,

I miss you so much! I only owned you one year but you were my dream mare. I tried to buy you for 4 months before convincing my better half that I had to have you. You were the sweetest horse and the best mother anyone could ask for. I am so sorry that we failed to save you. We wanted to so badly but you went so quickly that there was nothing we could do. I feel like I failed you somehow, you did so much for me and I could not even save your life. You were too young to die and deserved so much more from life. We did save your filly that you lost your life for. I will do everything in my power to ensure she has a long and healthy life with us, we will never sell her and you’ll be proud to know that she has your looks and your attitude. I named her “HOPE”. I hope you approve. I love you so much and can’t wait to reunite with you someday.

“Hope” is the thing with feathers —-
That perches in the soul —-
And sings the tune without the words —-
And never stops — at all —-
Emily Dickinson
