I will always remember the day he walked into my life. He was walking the streets without a worry in the world. He wasn’t even a year old so the trucks zooming by did not even bother him. But it bothered me. After witnessing two close calls I knew I could not leave him there.
I waited and waited with him for someone to come get him, but no one ever came. So I took him home. There he met my mom and my 7 year old niece; they also fell in love with him immediately. It was the beginning of a wonderful friendship…
Ghost – You are my gentle boy. Not one negative bone in your body. And oh so caring. How many times did you sit with me while I have cried? How many times did you let me take something that I considered bad (but you considered yummy) out of your mouth without even a growl?
You brought us so much joy. I feel so blessed that God and you chose us to become part of your family. I miss seeing you and hearing you. I feel a little empty. I need to tell you, my dear Ghost, thank you for every caring moment you gave us. Words will never capture the gratitude and love my heart feels. I will remember you always!
