God’s gracious gift gave us two unforgettable and love-filled years together, Diego, and I will always be eternally grateful for the times we were able to share. When you had your 1st birthday in Tahoe, you were so happy, so perfect, neither of us had any fear. No fleas, no boyfriend, no pain, just two happy-go-lucky pioneers playin’ in the snow. Then I weakened, came home and repeated mistakes, and what mistakes they were! After your horrifying facial trauma following the car accident, you walked home to say, “mommy, its hurts, please help me”.
You were SO STRONG and COURAGEOUS in those weeks and months to come, even with your left eye blinded. I was such a wreck; you helped me get thru it. You see Diego, you are a gift from heaven. I know now, why you were sent to me. So thank you, Diego, my beautiful gentle giant for helping me again. Even at this time of unbearable heartache, mommy misses you soooooooo much. You’re a Good Boy! Mommy loves you everyday and always.
P.S. You still have 5 lives left, any chance of coming home, and meetin’ up somewhere?
You, Diego, are my greatest blessing,
