Druid came from a most magical place amongst the Redwoods on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in Northern California, and was named for Druid’s Hall, a very old building on a farm called Plantation, listed on the Historical Registry.
She was a most wonderful and gentle cat, grey/white long-hair. She loved men! She loved to be petted and would purr for hours. For a farm/ranch cat, she never hunted ~~ but loved to traumatize the flies and moths until she ate them! She gave us, for her 18 years of life, joy and pleasure ~~ to watch her racing through the pastures was breathtaking. She loved life.
This was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but 18 years is a good and long life for a cat. She is resting in a wonderful spot now, underneath a young lodgepole pine ~~ the east rising sun and moon greet her every morning and evening, and the west-setting sun and moon put her to rest every night. The southern exposure keeps her warm all day ~~ how she loved to sit on the deck with the sun on her all day long! I will truely miss her, and will always smile as I sit and rest next to her now, when the day is done, and my chores are finished, just like she used to do with me!
For those of you that knew Druid, you understand. What a wonderful cat Druid was, and her memory will never fade.
Always in our hearts and with love, 'ButterBellies Dooders!'
