Spike came into our lives as we were beginning our family. He fit right in and fell in love with all of us , as we did for him. He was always so proud and lovable. We watched him thru every stage in his life and felt so blessed to have this gift from God. Towards the end he was suffering with a cancerous paw, we did everything short of amputation, due to his age of 12. I nursed his paws for a year but soon he became in increasing pain. We knew what had to be done. We gave him back to God. This caused us so much anguish but we knew he was suffering. We will always have you in our hearts, and miss you dearly. Wait for us at the bridge, we’ll be looking forward to seeing you again someday! You were such a blessing. Rest in Peace my little Spikey!
