You grew up with me, always being there for me whenever I needed you. I remember how loving you were to me, and the quirky things you did that made you special. Licking my face, purring louder than any cat I have ever met, bringing live mice and dropping them into my bed…with me in it.
You were active until the end, when in two weeks time you finally started to go. I knew this day had to come sometime, but I was never prepared for it to sneak up on me the way it did. You were tired and so was I. When you stopped eating I knew that it was your time, and rather than have you starve yourself into delirium and death, I would sent you to Heaven in the best way I could.
I got you some live catnip, and petted you during the whole process. You kept your eyes open, looking at me as you slipped out of your body. I will forever remember seeing the final spark in your eyes before they saw no more. You went the way you probably wanted to: with two loving family members petting you and a face full of catnip.
I will miss you always.
Forever loving and missing you,
