He was the love of my life,
the sunshine in my universe,
my laughter,
my happiness.
He was my best friend,
my mentor,
my guide,
my companion.
He was intelligent and wise,
golden blonde and beautiful
with deep, warm brown eyes that spoke of his love
and devotion for me.
He was my Golden Retriever,
my world,
my anchor,
the light of my life for 10 1/2 years.
And when he suddenly, without warning, passed away New Years Eve 2006,
a part of me went with him,
leaving a void in my soul and the deepest sadness in my heart – both of which will remain with me until I see him again.
