BAMBI by DEBERA R. SMITH / YOUR FOREVER MOM< DEB

Bambi came to me at the age of 5. She had a very bad beginning. Her former owners broke her back and hips, so her vet took her out of the home and gave her to PUG RESCUE. After she was healed and in a good foster home, I received a call asking me if I* had room for a special girl. Naturally, having been in rescue for 30 years, I said yes. (I just lost one a few months earlier).

Jane said that BAMBI did not like men, and I said no problem. A time and place were set and I went and picked BAMBI up. She was in the front seat on our way home and I looked at this pretty girl and asked her if she was ready to go home. She smiled and when we got home, she went up to my husband and sat on his lap. That was in 1999.

Bambi had a collapsabe trachea and on occassion she would start coughing. She was in good health until Jan 2008. The Vet did an x-ray and saw where her little trach was pusing on her lung, although not in distress or trouble she kept playing, barking and loving.

Then on April 1st, BAMBI went toi the Vet and another x-ray was done, she was starting to cough alot, but not in any pain. Then on Arril 11th I had to go to the Vet’s and I told her that BAMBI was coughing more and the pills were not working and that I would be seeing DR. McDivitt on MONDAY April 14, 2008. The day that BAMBI finally did not have to cough any more.

My sweet little Bambi is now with all her brothers and sisters who went before. She was my Special Girl.

ALL MY LOVE,
BAMBI
