We got Amber because my husband, Pete had broken his leg on the job and was out of work for awhile. She was only 8 1/2 weeks old. Pete picked her because she hit his hand on the cage with her paw. He said “Yup this is the one!” We named her Amber because she had beautiful brown spots of fur mixed in with the black and white. She was a cutie! He started calling her “sideways” as a kitten because that’s the way she ran around.
She gave us so much joy and laughter. She would peek around the corner of the hallway at us. But she did have an attitude about her. We always loved to read Garfield and once we got her, we came to the conclusion she was the female Garfield. We would laugh at the things she would do and she would just stare at us, like we were nuts. She was the best!! We miss and love her with all our heart!
