Nuke by Aunt Angi / Aunt Angi

Nuke was given to my sister in-law for Christmas 1990 by my brother they called him snook for a long time then shortened it to Nuke because he seemed to cause destruction where ever he went. Nobody seemed to mind though we would just clean up after him and laugh about how in the world he was able to accomplish it. I would baby sit him when they would work or go on vacation and couldn’t take him. The whole family considered him as a person he got presents and parties and he always made you feel better just by being in his presence. He had been shot with a BB gun and attacked a chainsaw and had ripped the pads off his feet from chasing his Frisbee but through it all he wagged his tail and and survived like a trooper in the end he couldn’t chase his Frisbee or the water from the hose his age seemed to be catching up with him we all knew his time had come he was having seizures and could barely walk but the tail kept wagging and kisses were in abundance until the very last.

He went to sleep one night after checking on the household and never woke again. The pain was indescribable the whole family felt his loss a great deal and I am making this tribute for my brother my sister in-law both my nieces and the rest of the family so others can see how special he was. I bought him a headstone and the writing on it says it better than anyone ever could it simply said:

If love could have saved you
you would have lived forever.

Thank you Nuke for almost 18 years of unconditional love and companionship

Remembering you always,
Nuke
