Kenzie Dee by Louise McGannon / Love,

Tat and Mom

Dear Kenzie Dee,

You came to us because of another loss that I almost couldn’t bear.

I remember the day I called and had them reserve you, I remember the first day I saw you. I remember the first day at our house, how you chewed your leash, ran into the road and almost got hit.

Two years later, we moved to the country. How you loved living in the country. You could spot a deer, turkey, pheasant that no one could see. You were always beside me whether I was on the computer or sewing. You liked laying under the desk, you liked sneaking bread off the counter. How many loaves of bread did you eat? Do you remember the day you ate 10 chocolate cupcakes?

I loved you sleeping with me when Tim wasn’t there. I would lay next to you, and you would move. Do you remember how you and Tat would jump on the bed in the morning and lay with me?

You became such a good girl. Tatanka and I love you so much and miss you so much.

Until we see you again,
Kenzie Dee
