Our Lucky.. We lost you once and we found you a year later…you were meant to be with us,
You traveled with us from our old home to our new home and watched the kids grow up, walking them to school, waiting for them after school, and always bringing us mice, you came when we whistled and even took rides in the car to the post office.
You welcomed all the pets we brought into the house with resistance, yet accepted them with open paws.
You never complained, and watched over “Our Home.”
The house will never be the same and every visitor will look for you.. You are with us forever…
God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,
And whispered, “Come to me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you drift.
We watched you fall away.
We couldn’t bear to lose you.
We couldn’t ask you to stay.
A golden heart stopped beating.
Shining yellow sparkled eyes at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove us
that he only takes the best.
