On 19th December 2009 my little fluffy mate Oliver-Joseph died peacefully in his sleep. I really didn’t think it was your time because your were not even 2 years old. Maybe your friend Lisa needed you more than us, I’m sure you are with her and Sara too.
Your Mummy and me are heartbroken and there have been tears from both of us. I hope you left us knowing that we really loved you. We have decided not to have any more hamsters. Summer is missing you too. I say to her “where’s Oliver?”, and she looks where your cage was, but looks sad.
Oliver you were a tough little man. When you got your teeth stuck on your cage and pulled one of them out, it didn’t stop you eating your favourite monkey nuts and carrots. Even when we got Summer the puppy you were never scared of her. I remember when you first met Summer, we worried that she might bite you, but she just licked your fur and you were friends from then on
What we really loved about you is that you were so beautiful and your fur was so white and soft. Softer than feathers. And you were so friendly too.
We will never forget you my little mate. Say hello to Sara and Lisa. Your Mum and me love and miss you all.
