Remembering our Special girl, Pepper,
and missing her very much.
I was never much of a dog person until she turned me into one during her last few years when we bonded so closely.
Her eyes would light up and she was always so happy when her “Mama” would make her some warm oatmeal for her belly on a cold day, being an outside dog. And she always got so excited when I’d put a bunch of stuffies out and let her go “toy shopping “. How she loved to look each of them over and select just the right one ! Or how happy she would be when I would bring her a new toy from the Dollar Store.
So many times I’ve gone into that Dollar store and excitedly picked up a toy for “Pepper”, only to face the sad reminder that I can’t get her one anymore.
I remember how she loved my homemade dog biscuits the best. Oh how I miss making those for her. Pepper girl, if Mama could, she’d send the biggest, brightest, bestest toy up to Doggie Heaven for you and make you the best warmest bowl of porridge Ever!, along with lots and lots of your favorite doggie cookies, just for you.
You were one special and unique girl, Pep, and you are so missed, every day.
Thank you for turning me into
a doggy person, girl. You were so smart.
You knew Mama needed to learn that —
to learn all about a doggie’s special loyalty and love.
I treasure our special times together
and will never forget you.
Daddy misses you every day. There is a big empty hole in his heart. That new doggy you helped us find is trying to fill it as best she can.
She’s a very good doggy, too, and lots of fun,
but it’s still just not the same
without you, Girl.
How we wish you were still here.
Always in our hearts,
| Pepper |
