Tita came to animal rescue as a very sick dog with a severe heart condition and bleak prognosis. She also had given birth. Her puppies were taken from her. She was a brave girl, quietly enduring her pain and discomfort.
Through generosity and devotion, she had her complicated life-saving cardiac surgery and recovered fully. Good Samaritans fixed her heart, but could not fix the damage done to her mind and spirit from past traumas. She lost her home and her babies. We can only imagine the horrors she must have experienced to have been so frightened of life in general and so mistrustful of the good people who were trying to help her.
Tita did have a few very special folks that she let into her inner sanctum of trust and love. She was given a good life with dog friends, a safe yard to frolic in, good food and her special humans. She knew she was loved and safe now, but even so, she lived a life of fear and terror which sadly impacted her quality of life so much so that
she could not recover.
With all the love and selflessness in the world, the heart-wrenching decision was made to give Tita one final gift. A gift of peace, safety, and freedom from her fears which would no longer haunt her every waking moment. She was loved and cherished. She has left a void in the hearts of all those that were privileged enough to meet her. If you got a kiss from Tita, well…you knew you were something special!
Few people would show as much grace as Tita did to endure all that was handed to her with such grace and dignity. She experienced glimpses of happiness and joy, but they were short-lived and too few due to her fears and apprehension that always seemed to resurface.
A special thank you to, P & T for welcoming her into their home and hearts and giving her safe haven, as well as travelling miles for her surgery and caring for her through her closely monitored recuperation. Tita will surely be one of the first dogs to meet them at the Bridge. And, if they listen….they will hear her in the hushed silences and her quiet presence will fill the shadows and she will once again caress their heart with fond memories of her.
Tita, you will never be forgotten and your will to survive will always make us strive to be strong enough to overcome whatever obstacles we may face to honor your memory.
You mattered to us.
May you have safe journey to the Rainbow Bridge…until our paths gently intertwine once more.
This is only the beginning sweet Tita.
Rest in peace now, baby girl, for you are truly free from the burdens you carried.
Forever Remembered,
| ♥Tita♥ |
