the angels started waiting for your return,
They knew the plan of your life before you did.
They gave you to me knowing you had a purpose here in my life
And you proved them right.
Oh those years of playing sleeping and eating too,
Your favorite toys and treats I shall never forget,
Those were the best years,
None could be better.
You started getting older I noticed,
Your limps because of hurting joints,
When the doctor said kidney disease
I knew you didn't have much longer,
The angels knew how much longer you had.
Now my dear it is time to say goodbye,
For you have seen better days

Now the angels wait no longer
as you cross the Rainbow Bridge.
