Alex by Kim Murray / Kim

ALEX,

You were a great friend, loyal and smart. The devotion you showed me was immeasurable. Loving came natural and unconditional. When you first made me your family, you were just a small brown ball of fur that fit in my hands. Eyes sparkling and all kisses, you stole my heart. You were so little and cute you gave me a reason to get up in the morning and a reason to come home at night. To see your wiggling butt when I walked in the door brought a smile to my face.

Teaching you how to be an obedient dog took all the patience in the world. You grew so fast and learned your manners well. I found the strength that I never knew I had the day I had to set you free. To keep you in pain would have been selfish. All that could have been done was done. All that was left was to say goodbye.

I kissed you goodbye before you went to see God and a part of my heart went with you. Thank you for your unconditional love. The tears still come, the void is still there. My heart is broken. My beloved, if I had a chance to re-live the last eleven years, I wouldn’t change a thing. You made my life worth living and for that, I thank you.

You were one in a million and oh so unforgettable! You will live forever in my heart and memories. I will remember your lovely sparkling eyes. You were my life at a time I really needed you and for that I thank you! While physically you are no longer with me I feel your energy, and smell your scent and know that your very soul is always near me.

You are back home again in God’s hands. Your job here is done. I will honor you by always remembering the good times we shared. Till we meet again my beloved ALEX, you have my heart! Your mom, Kim

With all of my love,
Alex
