Dog
Bambi I hope you know how much all
of us have always loved you.
You were the most gentle
loving dog I have ever known.
You were always happy as long
as you could see me or be close to me.
You made many people happy in your lifetime.
When you visited the elderly people in the nursing homes
you always brought a smile to their faces.
You were a great comfort to your Daddy and I
when we needed a friend and some company.
You were with us through some sad times
and we will never forget how special you were.
I thank God for all the years I had you to comfort me.
I hope you forgive me for allowing you to suffer
for even a minute.
It was so hard for me to give you up.
I kept you with me until I felt you were ready to go.
I love you and miss you so much --my precious baby!
I'll see you in heaven
someday my sweet darling
and we will sing together again.
