Belle by Yvonne & Rick Field / Mommy & Daddy

Our beloved companion, Belle, went to sleep last Monday. She was loved so much, and she gave back the love ten-fold. Belle stayed “glued” to my husband’s side as he fought his way through the last nine years of cancer treatments. She knew too when I especially needed to have my spirits raised. Our hearts are truly broken, although we knew we had to let her go. In May of 2006, she suffered multiple grand mal seizures, after being very healthy all of her life. Our wonderful vet, Dr. John, kept her going with medications for thirteen months until we all knew she needed her rest. She had no pain, but the light had gone out of her eyes these last few months. Dr. John said that it was time, and we loved on her and petted her as she put her head down on her special blanket our daughter had made years ago, and peacefully went to sleep. We miss her so, and always will.

She was a gentle, quiet and loving Sheltie, truly a wonderful animal, and we will always be thankful that we were privileged to be a part of her life, and she a part of ours. I don’t know what we will do without her……..

We love you and will never forget you -
Belle
