Gone Now My Love. But Remembered

Gone now is the patter of little feet when I felt alone

Gone now is the cold nose I felt when I was depressed to heal my mind

Gone now are those deep brown eyes, she listened to every word when I told her my troubles

Gone now is the exuberance that met me when I awoke each day for 11 years of her life

Gone now but remembered was the greeting when you came home tired. She would look to you, wag that tail and say “I missed you – welcome home”

Gone now she hid her pains to show me all her love till she parted this earth

Gone now but still here in my heart with these memories that I cherish

Gone now but she will be in heaven, tail wagging, awaiting my arrival, to be there for eternity with me to play and be by my side as she was while she was always here

Gone now but forever in our memories

This poem was written by my husband within a month of Boscos passing.
