Now I lay me down to sleep
My body is tired, old and weak

From this dream I shall not return
A new journey awaits me at every turn

My mama will cry, my papa too
As I leave this world, a little too soon

I’ve had a good life, long enough
For I was rescued when my life got tough

I leave behind good memories
For mama and papa truly did love me
