In memory of one
of my best friends…
Charlie.

I will never forget you Charlie. From the moment I saw you lost and wandering around in our yard I fell in love with you. We took you in that night and you immediately claimed your spot on the sofa. There was no question that God brought you to me.

Your were with me through a lot Charlie. When I didn’t have anyone else I could talk to you would always be there to lend an ear. Even though you couldn’t talk back I think I knew what you would have told me. You were with me when I graduated from college moved away from home got married and
had my first child.

You loved to go bye-bye in the car Charlie. “Co-pilot Charlie” is what we would call you when we would go on trips. You sat up proud right in the passenger seat
just like a human.

I guess this morning was your last trip Charlie. Although I won’t be the one driving this time — God will. But don’t be afraid…you’re in good hands. God will take good care of you.

I’ll be looking forward to the day when I see you again Charlie. They say that in Heaven you’ll recognize your loved ones.
I hope so.
