Cinder was taken away from my husband and I by cancer at the age of 4 1/2 yrs. It was sudden and devastating especially my husband who picked her out at a shelter where she was recovering from a car engine burn. She was very lovable and funny.
My husband would play hide and seek with her from around the door. She would play it with me once in a while. I think they had a special bond. She would sit on his lap while at the computer curl up with him on the couch and had conversations with him like she really had something to say. She was black and white spotted almost like a cow!
She had her little toy mousies that she would bring room to room depending on which room you were in meowing with them in her mouth. She was just an awesome cat and I miss her terribly. On the day she died I went to see her at the vet’s. As soon as I said “hi baby!” she let out a loud meow. I sat with her for a while. I put out my hand and she licked it one of her cinder things to do. She put her paw on my hand and wouldn’t let go. It was like she knew it was her time and she was reassuring me that it was ok and she would be pain free soon. She tried to keep her eyes open but she went to sleep. We couldn’t let her suffer and let her go.
I have lots of pictures and
good memories to keep forever
of the burn kitty from Tennesee.
