#1 Duke is what everyone called him. He was the best companion to have around. He was very laid back and had a great personality. He was great with kids and little dogs. When our son was young, Duke would let him take rides on his back and pull at his ears and tail. Duke just laid there taking it all in. When we started adopting little dogs to add to our family the little ones would always jump up on him, scratch at him and tug on his mouth. Duke just put up with it and never put up a fight or tried to argue.
He specially enjoyed chasing and being chased by our toy poodle and dachshunds. He would always make a high pitch, playful barking sound every time he wanted to play. He loved to run and go for walks. Duke really enjoyed the trips to the local doggie park. Duke was a one-of-a-kind and the best dog that anyone could of owned. Even with his old age, he still would light up whenever you reached down to pet him and wag his tail. Duke stayed around as long as he could. Duke passing was very peaceful.
