Freddie we had the pleasure of knowing you,
but for a few years.
No matter how bad things got you were there
to welcome with open arms
and unconditional love.
You always knew when
it was storming or someone was
coming down the driveway.
You were childlike
in some ways and super intelligent
in so many other ways.
Anything you did wrong or
when you disbeyed was made
up 10 fold at least.
Come time to go somewhere
in the truck you were always
the first one to get in.
I doubt at this late point
in life there will be anyone to replace
you or be as loved as you were.
All I had to do was look into those big brown eyes and you and I
both knew I was done.
With you around the days
seemed brighter the flowers prettier.
The trees and grass greener.
the sky bluer
What is this magnificent person
I’m refering to?
A child? No!
A pet a dog named Freddie to be exact.
Freddie has not died he passed on today.
Freddie is not a dog he is a pet.
He will be sorely missed.
Good boy.
Worth every min we had with you,
| Freddie |
