"My Henry"
Henry was a tiny star who entered our home
residing in the grandsons residence at the age of 8 weeks.
Henry was a teeny but spectacular little guy.
He purred almost ever waking moment.
He allowed Gage to carry him everywhere and they
stayed so very close. When watching television Henry
snuggled close to Gage.
They were inseparable best friends first friends.
Henry never really grew... we all watched as the tiny ambassador
ate but stayed ever so small. Finally at age 20 weeks
3 short months after he arrived Henry was too tired he had a
tiny pot belly we had hoped he would be growing -- a trip
to the vets when he appeared constipated on May 5th affirmed
that Henry was too small Henry had a problem
Henry stayed overnight -- and Gage and the family
awaited his return.
Henry was eased to sleep in the wee hours the following morning,
a victim of the dreaded F.I.P. which he most likely succumbed
to shortly after birth.
His loss for the family was a tragic one and we all miss him,
though I fear not nearly as much as his young friend
Gage who called him "My Henry".
( When Henry arrived home from the vets Gage packed up
Henry's toys bowls blanket even his litter pan and the family
was instructed to bury them in the small grave with Henry.
Gage said " Henry will need these in kitty heaven."
Such a noble send off from such a young and caring 4 year old
master. His family and Grandma are ever so proud.)
Sleep well dear Henry!
