Farewell to “Izzy”

I remember the first day I saw you. You had just turned 2 ½ years old. I immediately smiled. You were so happy and carefree. That is the way you lived your life. Enjoying whatever you could and playing ball any chance you got!! You always put 100% effort into everything you did from bite work to swimming!!
Your temperament was perfect, very stable, confident and loyal as a German Shepherd should be. I wish I could have been a strong enough handler for you. You had so much to offer and you could have gone much further with a stronger handler. I had trouble keeping up with you but I still enjoyed all the time we spent together.
You are with Asta now. Even though the two of you had some issues here I am sure you can live together on the other side of the bridge. She will welcome you and you will not be alone.
