“You were never masters, but friends. I was your friend. I loved you well, and was loved. Deep love endures to the end and far past the end. If this is the end, I am not lonely. I am not afraid. I am still yours.” Jager lost his brave fight with cancer on Friday. He was devoted to, and deeply loved a family that will miss him forever. The second love of his life was hunting; tracking and retrieving pheasants for Ray in the fields of Eastern Long Island. Ray, Kim, Megan & Nicole will keep memories of you in their hearts. “But hold these memories bittersweet until we meet.”
