“It didn’t matter what we bought you, where we took you, or even the other crazy dogs we brought home to you to join our family. You always had unconditional love for us. This was and will always remain “your” home. You have the stomping grounds around here, you taught Emma and Bailey things humans could not. A beggin strip would make your mouth water but love from your family is what meant the most to you that would make your heart beat. We did everything we could for you, there will not be a day that goes by that we don’t think of you.
I love you Jasmine Lynn, my first pet, my babysitter, my best friend, and ..my loyal dog. No dog could or ever will take your place. These past few months haven’t been your best, but theres not a thing in the world I wouldn’t do to see you swim again, chase after your stick again, or simply..be breathing again. But, that’s selfish. I want you to know we didn’t do this to you, we did this for you.
You were a great dog jasmine, don’t ever think anything less. Ive experienced the worse and the best feelings of my life, when I was 5 and touching your soft puppy fur for the first time when you jumped out of that box, and now, 19 and holding your stomach on that metal table feeling the rhythm of your breathing going up and down, and never back up again. As I whispered my last goodbyes, and felt the coldness of your sweet paws, a chill sent down my spine. This is a feeling I will never forget. I love you Jasmine, We love you.
