Basenji

This was a young neutered male Basenji.

I took him from a kill shelter as a rescue.

Athough he had a fear aggression problem he was a

wonderful loving spirit toward me and my daughter.

He was with us for a mere week and then

(because I trusted that breed rescue is ALWAYS "rescue")

I sent him to Mellisa in Ohio who promised she had a home for him.

With in a week of getting him even though I do dog behavior

counseling for a living and would have taken him back

Melissa had him killed. By my own poor choice --

not wanting to take the effort to integrate him into my five dog pack

(he was dog aggressive) -- in a selfish act I gave his life away.

May the Diva of the species forgive me; may the death of

my friend serve a noble purpose.

"What is there in any moment which unites every moment?

One breath not taken."
