Kitty

To Buttons our little trooper...

When I first saw you on my Birthday so cute with

a bow around you I was hesitant at first.

With in hours I knew I could never part with you.

Before long you became my little buddy and your

cute ways catpured our hearts.

Your loud purr and your unique disposition made

you one of the most special cats we know.

Whenever we opened a wrapper or took the lid off of

a new gallon of milk you would come running no

matter where you were in the house.

You would wait for us to throw you the candy wrapper

or the milk safety ring for you to play with.

Such a good cat always loyal and your habits so adorable.

Morgan and baby (our other two cats) loved you too.

You would all sleep together and play together you

and Morgan formed a very special bond.

When you started to act sluggish and I took to the Vet

I was expecting to hear you had a simple case of the flu

and we would only have to give you some antibiotics.

When the tests results came back and we found out

you had feline leukemia we were devastated.

We cried for hours and didn't know how we could deal

with our Little Buttons being sick and eventually dying.

You were such a trooper! Trying to still give us

affection even though you were getting weaker.

No matter how much of the vitamins we gave you

from the Vet you just kept getting weaker.

When we finally decided to let you rest from your illness.

We took you to each of the other cats so you could say good-bye.

Each of them licked your face you were too weak to respond.

With tears in our eyes and a hole in our hearts we took

you to be put to rest. In the Vet's office we held you crying

and kissing you and telling you how much we loved you.

We're sorry that we did not go back with you,

it would have just been too hard.

Instead we gave you a shirt to lay on so you could smell

us and wouldn't feel alone and know we loved you.

Today I found an old milk safety ring under the buffet in

the kitchen and started to cry.

This house seems so empty without you!

We miss you so much!!!!

We know that where you are now you are not in any

pain and are your old cheerful and sweet self.

Morgan and Baby miss you very much.

When we brought home the empty pet caddy they both

kept looking for you. They both keep laying on your

favorite spot on the bed and will look up at us and cry.

We will never forget our "Little Buttons"

who gave us such joy and love.

Thank you for being such a wonderful addition

to our family.

We love you and miss you so much!!!
