Loyd Cornelius by Lee Anne Hebert / Mom

As I cut your cord the day you came to me,
Little did I know how important you’d be;
Out of all of the gang, you were the long-haired hippy,
So frisky and playful you were as a kitty;
Even though your brother,
mother, sister, and father are gone,
You still remained loving
and oh so strong;
Loyd, you stood strong even when times got bad,
Little did we know of the problem you had;
Rugged, loving and caring you were,
Loved to be petted and away you purred;
The day you left us we cried for days,
In our hearts and for always you will stay;
My dearest Loyd, I’ll never forget,
The examples of joy and happiness you set;
The deepest of love and happiness
you gave to us during all the years,
That’s why now we are flooded by tears;
Romp and play with the rest of gang up in heaven,
Our love will remain strong 24 on 7.

Forever Loved and Missed,
Loyd Cornelius
