Max was not scared at all. Not shaking, not trying to climb up me or escape. She did reach up and give me a kiss. She nuzzled my baseball cap and curled back up. It was like she was saying good bye.
I am grateful for everything (except effening cancer). She was a great cat. She had a very spoiled life. She survived while I left her for 3 weeks. I’m grateful for her doctors and the care they gave her. I was able to get appointments when I needed them not when the doctor’s schedule allowed them (unlike people doctors) and I was able to have a range of care options that made the most sense for Max and me and that the doctors supported my decisions. And when we knew it was time, we were able to say goodbye with dignity and on our terms.
My Sweet Max,
