We lost our Maya on Monday, May 19/08. She died very suddenly. She hadn’t been sick or acting strangely. She wasn’t quite six years old.
Maya was truly a special cat…she was here with us for five and a half years and in that time showed us love and provided comfort to us when we needed her. She was so loving and so intelligent..almost human-like. She responded to us everytime she was spoken to….she was a companion like no other.
Maya was long haired and beautiful…the runt of the litter. She grew up but didn’t get very big..she was so dainty and light on her feet. She loved to be cuddled and babied…she would knead my cozy blankets or bathrobe until she would fall asleep…she was a very content kitty.
She loved and nurtured Marvin, our other beautiful cat…he became her best friend and vice versa. Today, Marvin is a sad boy…he’s lost without her and has no idea where she’s gone to….:(
We believe that Maya was here long enough to get us through the hard times….blended family issues took their toll on us and we are convinced that she was the reason we were able to hold it together. Now that we’ve found our way and are ok, she’s moved on….it’s a sad thought, but comforting to us. I’ll always think of her as my personal guardian angel.
She was always loved and will be forever remembered….
