I only had my Love Muffin for a short while but
I had never been allowed to have a pet when I was a child.
So she and I were "love at first sight" when she literally
wandered into our door. We really couldn't afford a pet but
we tried to keep her even against our landlord's wishes.
Muffin got out and managed to become a mama but she
and her kittens(four of them) became so infested with fleas
and mites that they had to be put to sleep because we
were told they could not be treated.
The guilt & loss engulf me still.
