Oscar by jack seiler / Your big old Dad

Come on son, lets go. I walk as if in a dream treading those same steps we took so often. It is now a beautiful Sunday morning; I hear the church bells and I keep walking. I thank the Lord for you and our time together. You left this earth three days ago. I imagine your eyes looking at me as if to say, no dad, I want to go this way. As always I give in and off we go. This time I hesitate because it means we have to part ways for a time. I need to give your walks over to our Lord. In his own way he assures me that you will be happy and young again. I can somehow sense that you still turn back to look at me with your big eyes, and that Jesus looks back as if to say, I love you and your boy Oscar. You will be together soon and you can walk together again.

Be a good boy I love you,
Oscar
