Patches Marie by Joel Tucci / Joel

I still remember going to pick you out at the animal shelter, I had never seen a cat with so much energy. You found endless amusement in the tails of your littermates. And despite the recycling bin incident(sorry about that) you had so much energy. As mom said, “I never understood the phrase ‘Curiosity killed the cat’ before Patches” You were into everything, you even got inside the heat pump when it was being repaired. We tried to keep you in the basement but you always figured a way out. We also tried to keep you inside, but you were too clever for us humans! You even knew the magic words that meant a can of food was just around the corner!

You could always make us smile though Patch. If we were having a rough day you would just jump up on our laps already buzzing because you KNEW we would pet you! How could anyone not?

Goodbye Patch, there will never be a cat as special as you were. And I just know that somewhere up there you are sitting in an empty box, as happy as could be!
