When I adopted you 5 years ago when you were about 12 years old, I knew my time with you would be short.
Some people accused you of being the meanest little one-eyed dog this side of the Mississippi, but I, of course, never believed that. I loved your spunky personality, how people would laugh whenever they saw you or when they told stories about you. I loved how you would lie in wait at the top of the basement steps for people who were down there and how they would carefully try to scurry past you without being attacked. I loved your obsession with Jim’s socks. I loved mowing with you on the tractor and when you would put your paws on the steering wheel, I let you believe you were steering. I loved taking you places in your carseat and seeing people look over and laugh at you at the stoplights. I loved your attitude after Aunt Bonnie groomed you.
I wish we would have had more time together Polly Pocket, but I am thankful for the time I did have with you.
Love,
