I have been so very Blessed with the love & companionship of my Shih Tzu, Rhett. I am disabled & he trained himself to he a ‘working’ dog, letting me know when I was going to have a migraine & comforting when I was in pain. Even though I am very isolated when my husband is at work, he was always by my side. He never tried to stop his healing of the ill, as he demonstrated July 15, 2012, when my mother who suffers from mid-stage Alzheimer’s Disease & Rhett planted himself at her feet during the visit.
This morning, I had to say goodby to my loving companion of almost 17 years. Although I am grieving, I thank God for bringing Rhett into my life & also know that he lived to a very old age (he would have been 17 on July 27, next Friday). Please join me in praising God for this little guy who spread so much love & joy over the years.
