How I miss you. It’s been nearly 2 years since you left us. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. I can now talk about you without crying. I still miss the “woo’s” and the kisses you would give only to get a treat.
The grandkids laugh about you TAKING them for walks. Jessica still remembers tying your leash to the sled and you turning the sled to quick and dumping her in a snowbank. I still think you were laughing.
You were always so patient with the little ones. Even when they would lay or sit on you. But time marches on. The last year you had slowed down. We didn’t walk far before you got tired. The vet said you were failing fast. “Just old age” he said. Just keep you comfortable. Too soon it was over.
