Snowy by Nikhil and Namrata Karkhanis / Nikhil and Nam

You weren’t our first choice, it was your brother Coco we had chosen to bring home. But then, you stood up and wailed as we got ready to take Coco away with us. That was it, we knew it then that you were coming with us too! You were the two sweetest furballs I had ever seen, happily ignoring Nik and me and exploring your new home with us.

And a magnificent cat you grew up to be, white as snow, softest fur, with a pink nose, pink paws and
a pink white belly.

How do I begin to talk about our time together? Like the instance you were hiding in Nikhil’s suitcase, when you liked to greet me in the morning with a wet sniff on my face, like when you would roll over on your back and expose your soft belly when I would scold you for being naughty…..
It doesn’t end.

But all that remains now are memories of your sweet face, of the soft touch of your paws on my face and your pained expression after that accident….

I’m sorry Snowy baby, I wasn’t there to protect you, but a day doesn’t go by when I dont think about all that I could have done to protect you from harm. I pray so that you may be at peace and thank you for all the joy and happiness that you brought to our lives. We will remember you and love you forever.

With love and affection,
Snowy
